Backboard
The backboard is the flat, vertical surface to which the basketball hoop is attached to. Usually made of tempered glass, acrylic, wood, or other durable materials that offer strength and resilience. The standard backboard is 6 feet wide and 3.5 feet high.
The backboard is positioned so that the top edge is 13 feet above the playing surface, with the rim at a height of 10 feet, and 4 feet from the baseline (end line).
